What is Embedded Payroll

Short answer: Embedded payroll means your customers run payroll inside your product while a payroll provider runs the engine behind it. Worklio Embedded Payroll (WEP) gives you three ways to build that: call the API and build your own screens, assemble screens from a component library, or embed Worklio's hosted application with iFrames. Worklio Embedded Payroll (WEP) is a multi-tenant U.S. payroll API and infrastructure engine. You integrate it into your own product so your customers can run payroll without leaving it.

Building U.S. payroll in-house can take multiple years and tens of millions of dollars in development costs. With WEP, build time can be 30 to 60 days or less, depending on your requirements. WEP includes about 11,000 local payroll rules covering taxes, withholdings, deductions, and benefits, so you do not build them yourself.

WEP offers three integration paths.
